Dear Dreame Support Team,

I am using several of your robot vacuums in a large commercial building and overall I am very satisfied with the cleaning performance. Currently I operate around ten Dreame robots in our facility.

However, I am experiencing a recurring operational issue that significantly affects reliability during autonomous cleaning.

In our building, chairs are often placed upside down on tables during nighttime cleaning. When the robots drive underneath the tables, the chair backs sometimes lightly touch the buttons on top of the robot. Even a very small contact can trigger the pause button, which immediately pauses the cleaning task.

When this happens multiple times, the robot repeatedly enters pause mode. After pausing and resuming a few times through the app, the robot may abort the cleaning task completely. In some cases the robot stays paused until the battery becomes low and then returns to the dock, leaving the cleaning incomplete.

I have tested this with multiple devices and the behavior is consistent across units.

The child lock function unfortunately does not solve the problem, because the buttons are only locked while the robot is idle. During an active cleaning task, the buttons still react when touched.

For professional environments like event halls, restaurants, or large facilities where robots operate autonomously at night, it would be extremely helpful to have an option such as:

- Disable physical buttons during active cleaning
- or Ignore button presses while a scheduled cleaning task is running

This could potentially be implemented through a firmware update or an additional setting in the app.

Since we operate many Dreame robots, this feature would significantly improve reliability in commercial environments.

Regarding the issue you mentioned, where the physical buttons are accidentally triggered during cleaning and cause the robot to pause, we fully understand that this can significantly affect cleaning efficiency and reliability, especially in commercial and unattended environments.

At this stage, as a temporary solution, we recommend setting up no-go zones or virtual walls in the app to prevent the robot from entering areas with dense furniture, such as tables and chairs, where accidental button presses are more likely to occur.

At the same time, your suggestion to disable physical buttons during cleaning or ignore button inputs while a scheduled task is running is very valuable. We have documented your usage scenario and requirements in detail and will forward them to our R&D team for evaluation as a reference for future product and feature optimization.
