[MyDreamRobotVacuum] #MyDreamRobotVacuum

Having had robot vacuums for several years, and currently enjoying our amazing L40 Ultra, here are my suggestions based on my house hold requirements:

MOPPING: Hot water mopping with detergent function, with smart detection of flooring and levels of detergent dispensed.  Inclusion of an 'Intensive Cycle' instructs the robot to pass slowly to scrub more stubborn stains off the floor.  I think the current system goes too fast over the floor, and sometimes leaves slightly more stubborn stains in place. If the robot slowed down, almost to a crawl, it would have more chance for the mop pads to remove the more stubborn of stains.  This could be offered as a setting indepedantly and part of CleanGenius mode settings.
BUFFING:  A 'buff the floor' option.  At the moment, I schedule my L40 to go out on a second task in the early hours to 'buff' our shiny tiled kitchen floor after its mopped it earlier in the night.  I use a water intensity of 5 and it seems to do a good job.  It would be nice however if this was an automatic option after mopping that could be chosen, that the robot would set off on a second task after cleaning to 'buff' the floor with almost dry mop pads.  Could be offered as an independant mode, and selected as part of the CleanGenius mode settings.

DIRT DETECTION IMPROVEMENTS:  Dirt Detection that runs a scan cycle first - the robot scans the room floor prior to cleaning, very much like mapping mode, to survey the floor and assess the level and type of dirt present (wet/drystains, large particals, carpet etc) before returning to the dock to intellegently prepare to go out to clean based on what it scanned. It could tackle the location of large liquid/dry stains first, returning then to wash the mop pads, then vacuum large partical locations, before normal vacuuming and mopping with hot water etc.  This could be offered as an independant cycle and part of the CleanGenius mode settings.

ROBOTIC ARM TIDY CYCLE:  Robot to be cable of performing a 'tidy up' cycle, with a robotic arm.  You tell it where to place the items, and with intelligent obstacle detection it is able to roam the room to pick up objects in the cleaning path and place them in the designated place.  It would tell you what it has detected and picked up with photos and detection/recognition, and those that it couldn't 'tidy'.  This could be run as an independant cycle, and offered as part of the CleanGenius settings where you could choose Tidy Up & Mop after Vac etc.  It would be an amazing feature for us as our Golden Retriever puppy leaves his toys and chews all over the floor - I have to do a tidy up before our L40 ventures out if I want an efficient clean.  If I don't its no big deal for the L40 as the obstacle detection and avoidance is excellent, but we end up with large parts of the floor or carpet that isn't cleaned, obviously.

RUG/LOOSE CARPET REMOVAL IN APP:  An option in the app to tell it to ignore the loose carpets or rugs that are normally there, in order for the robot to vac and mop underneath them.  A useful feature so that you can occasionally remove the loose carpets and rugs in your rooms and know that the area will be vacuumed and mopped etc.

MOPPING EFFICIENCY UPDATE:  and easy update for you - sometimes the L40 can leave an inch gap between the mop pads when mopping.  Just tighten up the passes a little so the gap dissapears, or, make it do the opposite double path as standard (as it does when doing a re-clean).

In summary, imagine having the following cleaning cycle in CleanGenius mode:

Tidys the room (robot identifies and places objects in designated place.  App advises what the objects were and those that it couldn't tidy)
Scans the room for level of dirt
Intellegently cleans dry/liquid stains first, washes the mop pads
Intelligently cleans large particles next
Normal Vacuum and Mop with hot water and detergent
Buffs the floor

What a robot that would be!!!
