The X40 Ultra/ X40 Master has been making waves in the market, and we understand that many users may have various questions regarding this remarkable robot. Whether you're a new owner or just considering getting the X40 Ultra, this FAQ is here to provide you with the answers you need.

1. Q: How does the robot perform turbidity detection?
A:Our robot in CleanGenius mode will automatically determine whether the mop has been cleaned thoroughly, thereby determining whether it will automatically rewash and remop. If the mop is clean, it will not undergo automatic rewashing. If the mop is dirty, it will undergo automatic rewashing or a combination of rewashing and remopping.

2. Q: Why does the secondary cleaning only start after the global cleaning is completed in the CleanGenius mode (daily+ultimate mode), instead of cleaning a single room after detecting dirt and washing a mop?
A:CleanGenius is to ensure that the current global/selected area cleaning task can be completed at once, followed by targeted secondary cleaning. If your home has a single room cleaning test and it is found to be dirty, the robot will wash the mop before cleaning, which may result in incomplete completion of the current task.

3. Q: Will both the daily mode and the ultimate mode be washed and mopped again In the CleanGenius mode? (Under default settings)
A:In daily mode, once dirt is detected, the mop will not be washed again, but a targeted secondary cleaning of the dirty area will be carried out after completing the current task.
In ultimate mode, after detecting dirt, the mop will be washed once more. At the same time, targeted secondary cleaning of dirty areas will be carried out after completing the current task.

4. Q: Why is there residual particulate matter on the extension board?/ Why is it easy to fill the dust box for the first time?
A: Our robot has automatic dust collection function. If your home area is large or you are using the robot for the first time (the robot can clean areas that are not convenient for manual cleaning, so there is more floating dust for the first time), you can manually collect dust in a timely manner or adjust the dust collection frequency to daily. It is also recommended that you set up daily automatic cleaning, as the dust will definitely decrease and the ground will become cleaner.

5. Q: What is the function of threshold?
A: This vacuum in order to be able to assist the threshold or sliding door slide in your home to  efficiently cross the barrier, set the function of virtual slide in the APP (map editing - threshold - add a threshold), this function is not recommended to be placed in the stairway and other easy to fall areas to use.

6. Q: Why has the robot been washing mop pad? /Why does robot wash mop pad so often?
A: In the Clean genius mode, The robot  will return to self-clean according to the room, for some cases where the cleanable area is small, it will also do a mop cleaning action to avoid secondary pollution in the next room, if you don't want to wash the mop frequently, you can adjust the frequency setting of mopping back in the self-cleaning setting in the custom cleaning mode.(Go to the device > Customize-Cleaning Settings > Frequency for returning to self-clean).

7. Q: How to turn off a robot or base station?
A: 1. Under normal circumstances, the base station will not actively shut down, but will automatically turn off the screen and enter low-power mode.
2. If you need the base station to completely shut down, please unplug the power cord of the base station.
Reminder: It is not recommended to power off during daily use.
3. Please note that once the base station loses power, the robot will no longer be able to charge and the battery will gradually run out.
4. Before using it, please connect the base station power supply first and charge the robot properly.

8. Q: Can the robot dust box filter be washed with water?

A: The dust box filter can be washed with water, but it needs to be completely dried before it can be put into the dust box for use. We suggest that you air the filter after washing it for at least 24 hours to ensure that the robot can work properly.

9. Q: The first mapping was not completed. Do I need to rebuild it? /How to make up building the map?
A: If you don't build a complete map the first time, you don't need to rebuild it, the robot will automatically update the map when working on the next mission.

10. Q: How to carry out multi-floor Maps?
A: In order to facilitate the operation of the multi-map function, our robot does not need to move the base station many times to build a map, when you create a non-first map, no need to move the base station, and when the machine returns to the origin to save the 2nd/3rd/4th map.

11. Q: How to use the voice assistant? (Only for X40 Master)
A: How to use "OK,Dreame" voice assistant:
1. How to wake up the device?  Voice assistant function is on by default, you can say "OK,Dreame" to the robot to wake it up.
2. How to send commands?   You can click on the voice assistant - "see what else you can say" to see all the Dreame voice assistant's skills. After waking up the device, you can randomly say the supported voice commands.
3. Machine execution: When the robot correctly recognizes the commands you give, it will perform the actions and voice announcements in response.
Caution:
①The voice skills will be updated, based on the voice skills supported in the APP.
②Dreame voice commands only support part of the fixed instructions which can be queried in the table of fixed instruction in the non-networked state. When the robot is connected to the network, you can use other similar words to send instructions.
③ Try to operate voice wake-up and commands within 5 metres as much as possible.
Also you can use the voice assistant - click "see what else can be said" to see all the pursuit of voice assistant skills, we will continue to update skills!

12. Q: Why does the robotic arm keep swinging out?
A: If the robotic arm keeps swinging out, it is recommended that you check whether the "High frequency mode" is selected in the "Intelligent mop settings" - "Bionic edging" section of the app. In the "High frequency mode", the robot will swing out every time it performs a cleaning task. You can switch to the "Intelligent mode" or "Daily mode" to observe. (In the intelligent mode and daily mode, the swing frequency will decrease)
In addition, when the robot performs a "global" cleaning task, the cleaning logic is to first perform edge cleaning on the home environment, and the robotic arm is also constantly expanding during the edge cleaning process.

13. Q: How to deal with the Wi-Fi network configuration failure?
A: The Dreame robot only supports 2.4G Wi-Fi network and does not support 5G Wi-Fi network. You can simply check it according to the following.
1. When the device is connected to the network, it is recommended to place it in a place with a strong Wi-Fi signal.
2. Please turn on the location permission of the mobile phone before configuring the network and have authorized the APP to use the location permission.
3. When connecting to the hotspot released by the robot, after hearing the voice broadcast by the robot, return to the App and wait for the network configuration result.
4. It is recommended to set the home Wi-Fi name and password to English or numbers, and it is recommended not to use special characters.
5. The connection failure may also be related to the model of the mobile, you can try to use other different models of mobile phones to do the connection.
If the above method does not work, you can try to use another mobile phone to open the hotspot and try again.
