Hoover wont connect

Hi, we've got a W10 pro hoover (I think) and after connecting multiple times it won't show up on the home screen, im getting notifications that it's low on charge and it said it connected successfully after each connection attempt, but won't show on the home screen. It also tries to download a plug in when I click the notification and says failed every time

that sounds more like an app or connection issue than the vacuum itself. i’d try logging out of the app and back in first, then remove the device completely and re add it from scratch. also make sure you’re on a 2.4ghz wifi network since these can struggle with 5ghz. clearing the app cache or reinstalling it can help with the plugin failing to download too. if it’s saying connected but not showing on the home screen it can sometimes be a region or server glitch, so double check the app region settings match where you are. if none of that works it might be worth trying on another phone just to rule out the app acting up on your device

try a full factory reset on the hoover and set it up on a completely new account just to rule out any account glitches, maybe even switch the app region to something like germany and see if it pulls the plugin properly there. if you can try on a different phone just in case it’s a weird app version issue.  if it still won’t load after all that it’s most likely on dreame’s side rather than the vacuum itself so might be worth reaching out to support

You can try restoring the robot to factory settings: Please open the top cover and press the system reset button (Reset button).

Please note: Resetting the system will erase the original scheduled cleaning settings, cleaning mode settings, and Wi-Fi connection configuration information.
