Random pattern

Hi my robot Hoover has started to go in totally random paths. It used to go around the perimeter and fill in. Why would it have changed?

Hello,

Regarding this issue, please follow the troubleshooting steps below:

1. Check whether the main wheels are tangled with any debris or foreign objects. If so, please clean them.

2. Verify that the LDS (laser distance sensor) on top of the robot is rotating normally. Try gently pressing down on the LDS cover and check whether it springs back properly.

3. Inspect the rotating part of the LDS for any debris, dust, or hair that may be obstructing its rotation. If you find any, please remove it.

4. Check whether there are any uneven, curled-up stickers or large objects on the robot's surface. If your robot is new, please check whether the protective film on the robot is lifting or warped. If so, remove it.

5. Gently tap the front bumper of the robot and check whether it moves freely and springs back normally.

6. Clean the line laser sensor and AI recognition sensor to ensure there are no fingerprints, dust, or dirt on them.

7. Restart the robot and try again.

In addition, please check whether the map has become inaccurate or distorted. If the map does not match the actual layout of your home, turn the robot off and restart it. Then manually place the robot back onto the charging dock and attempt to restore the map. If map restoration fails, please reposition the charging dock and create a new map.

If the issue still persists after completing the above steps, please feel free to contact us again and we will be happy to provide further assistance.
