[X50 Ultra Complete] X50 Ultra feedback: Multi-floor workflow and Matter support

I've been using the X50 Ultra for a while now, and I'm genuinely impressed with the hardware. However, I think there are a few software improvements that would make the experience even better.

The biggest one is the multi-floor workflow.

Currently, Shortcuts are tied to the active map. If I want to clean another floor, I have to dig through multiple menus just to switch maps. Only then do the Shortcuts for that floor appear. As soon as I switch back, they disappear again.

I think Shortcuts should be global. If I select a Shortcut for another floor, the robot should prepare itself at the dock (fill the water tank, configure the cleaning mode, etc.), leave the dock, ask me to move it to the correct floor, and automatically start cleaning once it's placed there.

Another thing I miss is that "Vacuum then Mop" isn't available on secondary floors. Since the robot starts at the dock anyway, it should be able to prepare for this before being moved.

Finally, what's the status of Matter support? It's been advertised for a long time, but I can't find any Matter settings in the app, the QR code doesn't work, and I haven't seen anyone successfully connect an X50 Ultra using Matter.

Does anyone else feel the same, or have I missed something?

Hello,

Thank you for sharing your detailed experience and valuable suggestions.

Regarding the issue of not being able to use the "Vacuum then Mop" mode on non-primary floors:

We recommend checking the cleaning settings on the map page to confirm whether the "Vacuum then Mop" mode is selected. If the feature is still unavailable, you may also consider running the vacuuming and mopping tasks separately.

For multi-floor cleaning scenarios, we suggest the following:

Before starting a mopping task, use the app to wash the mop pads first, or manually dampen them to achieve better mopping performance.
If the mop pads need to be cleaned during the task, you can move the robot back to the base station to perform an automatic mop wash. If you return the robot to the original target floor within 15 minutes, it will usually continue the unfinished cleaning task.

Recommended workflow:

1. Move the robot to the floor without the base station and start the cleaning task via the app or the robot's button.
2. During a mopping task, if the mop pads need cleaning, move the robot back to the base station and start the automatic mop-washing function.
3. After the cleaning task is completed, the robot will return to its starting position. You can then move it back to the base station for charging.

Regarding Matter support:

The X50 Ultra Complete now supports the Matter protocol. We recommend ensuring that both the robot firmware and the Dreame App are updated to the latest version.

Regarding your feedback about Shortcuts and the multi-floor map experience:

Thank you for your suggestion. We understand that global shortcuts and the ability to quickly start cleaning tasks across different floors would significantly improve convenience. We have recorded your feedback and will forward it to our product and technical teams for evaluation. We hope future improvements can provide a more seamless user experience.

Thank you again for your support and suggestions. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us at any time.
