[L10s Ultra] Will docking work if placed in a cupboard

I'm planning a built-in cabinet setup for my Dreame L10s Ultra and want to verify if the robot will dock reliably.
My plan is to place the base station directly on the floor inside a bottomless cupboard. The cabinet door will sit 150mm off the ground, leaving a permanently open 150mm gap/slot at floor level for the robot to enter and exit while the door above remains closed.
Before I finalize the cabinetry, I'd like to check a few details with anyone who has tried a similar build:
Docking Accuracy: Does the robot have a clear enough line of sight to its infrared/optical sensors through a 150mm open slot to align and dock without issues?
Clearance: Is a 150mm high opening sufficient for the robot to navigate in and out smoothly?
Internal Space: How much lateral clearance inside the cabinet should I leave around the base station so the LiDAR/sensors don't get confused by close side walls?

Thanks in advance for the advice!

Not tried a built-in myself, so I'd not guess at clearances. Keep the base dead level with plenty of space around it, and check the exact measurements with aftersales@dreame.tech before you commit to the joinery.

Hello,

Thank you for your question.

We do not recommend placing the docking station inside a cupboard or cabinet, as this may affect the robot's positioning and navigation, potentially causing difficulties locating or returning to the dock.

For optimal performance, the docking station should be placed against a wall in an open area. We recommend ensuring:

• At least 1.5 m of unobstructed space in front of the docking station.
• At least 0.5 m of unobstructed space on both sides of the docking station.
• The station is kept away from sources of signal interference, such as routers, televisions, or similar electronic devices.
• There are no reflective surfaces directly opposite the station, such as mirrors or large windows.

Please refer to the installation recommendations below when planning the location of your docking station.

If you are specifically looking for a built-in cabinet solution, you may also wish to consider one of our Master Series models, which are better suited for this type of installation.

Thank you for your understanding.
