I don't know what I can do to prevent this. I've set a carpet square over the carpet areas. I've changed the floor materials. It jut keeps mopping my area rugs. Help?!

After the map is completed, you can set the area where the carpet is located on the APP map as No Mop Zone/Virtual Walls/No-Go Zone, so as to prevent the robot from mopping on the carpet.
