[X50 Ultra Complete] My robot vacuum’s battery drains too much in standby mode

I just bought the X50 as my first robot vacuum. I was excited to let it do a full house clean this morning after charging it to 100% last night. However, I woke up to find it at only 49% charge — quite a drop overnight.

I usually turn off my plugs at night, but my other electronics don’t seem to lose much battery life, so I’m wondering why the vacuum’s battery drained so much in standby mode.

From what I’ve read, I can shut down the robot after a clean by pressing and holding the 3-second power button, then restart it manually when I need it. But honestly, that doesn’t feel very user-friendly, especially if I want it to be ready to go without extra hassle.

Is there a way to prevent this battery drain while the robot is idle? Or any tips to improve standby battery life? Would appreciate any advice or experiences from fellow users! Thanks in advance.

Afaik, all robots are designed to remain plugged in during normal daily use, and their battery charging systems are configured accordingly. Unplugging the robot after it reaches a full charge adds +1 to the charge cycle count. In other words, even if you don't fully discharge and recharge the battery, the BMS (Battery Management System) will still record an additional cycle. So if the expected battery lifespan is 600–700 cycles, this will count as one of them.

Dreame Support will provide much more detailed and clear information on this topic.

Hi I have a 3 week old x50 ultra. Ive noticed that sometimes the battery doesn't charge to 100%.

Currently my robot is on the dock and has been since 9pm last night. Its now 7.40am the next day and it is at 66% and still saying charging in the app.

Has anybody else had this and found a solution or is this normal? Dreame support want me to package the whole robot up and send it off to them for repair which can take 2 to 3 weeks!

Thanks
