If the carpet was manually added to the map, removing it from the environment will not be recognised by the robot. This issue indeed cannot be resolved simply by remapping each time, which is understandably very inconvenient.

May we ask whether the carpet is usually placed in fixed locations? If so, we recommend creating multiple maps to reflect the different carpet positions, and switching between them according to the actual layout.

Due to hardware limitations, the robot may not be able to clean carpets that are over 2 cm thick or black in colour. Could you please check whether the “Stain Recognition (Laboratory Function)” is enabled under Floor Cleaning Settings? If it is currently switched on, we suggest disabling it to see if this improves the issue.
