Dreame X40 Ultra region locked

Does anyone know the official policy on different regions?

Im aware that Dreame bans people who try to use Chinese version outside mainland China, but as for EU or "Global" versions I never heard of any issues until my device was locked a few days ago.

I purchased my robot on Amazon in September 2024 while I was living in Dubai, and I continued using it after I relocated to Moscow in July 2025 until now when it was suddenly locked with "region doesn't match the model" error.

According to S/N it's a global version for Great Britain with British/UAE plug, full language pack, etc.

Did I really miss the part in T&C where Dreame tells they will turn our $1000 worth devict into a brick should we decide to move to another country?
