Dreame D9 Max Gen 2 mapping

Do I need to map the whole floor of my house in one go or am I able to map a room or two at a time?
Also what will the device do about doors I want the space behind them mapped but need to leave them open so it can get in the room?

We recommend mapping the entire floor at once, as this will facilitate the robot's cleaning process.

If you close the door after entering a room, the robot will automatically explore the space behind it.
