Wi-Fi connection issues with L20 ultra and new modem after switching to fiber

Hi everyone,
I’ve been struggling for three days with a Wi-Fi connection problem after switching from my old Fritz!Box to a new modem that came with my recent upgrade from ADSL to fiber.
The issue is with my robot vacuum, which only connects to a 2.4 GHz network. No matter what I try, I just can’t get it to connect.
Here’s what I’ve already tried:
  • separating the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks by creating two different SSIDs;
  • manually setting the 2.4 GHz channel;
  • changing encryption and security settings;
  • restarting both the modem and the robot several times;
  • performing a full reset of the robot and repeating the pairing process.

Despite all this, the connection never completes: the robot’s app detects the network, but it always fails to connect.
Has anyone experienced a similar issue with new fiber modems?
Are there any specific settings or workarounds to make 2.4 GHz-only devices connect properly?
Thanks in advance for any help!

Hello, you can try setting your home Wi-Fi name and password to English or numbers, and it's recommended not to use special characters. Then, check if the router is set up with MAC address filtering, whitelisting, or similar settings.

If you are still unable to connect, try using one phone to create a hotspot as the Wi-Fi network and use another phone to connect to the hotspot for cross-verification. Connection failures might also be related to the phone model, so you can try connecting with different models of phones.
