AI not recognizing removed carpets

On November 5, I purchased from Bestbuy, the X40 Ultra to replace the X30 Ultra that was woefully incompetent.  This was updated for firmware and the app at the time of setup. This X40 is notably better.  There is an issue that was reported in the forum and acknowledged by Dreame in January of this year, that the AI cannot recognize when a mapped carpet was removed.  This is still the case with my new X40.  When the carpet is removed for floor cleaning, it still considers this area as having a carpet and treats it as  such, without mopping.  When will this be updated to handle issues such as this?

Hello, our technical team is still working on optimizing this issue. As an alternative, we recommend you create an additional map without carpets. After removing the carpets, switch to the map without them.

2 questions:
1) If the identified carpets in the app are removed from the map AND the carpets remain in place, will it identify these and remap again?
2) If so, when these are removed, what happens?

Hello,

If a carpet that has been recognized in the app is removed from the map, but the carpet remains in its original place, the robot will re-detect the carpet and add it back to the map.

If both the carpet on the map and the carpet in the actual environment are removed, the robot will identify the area as a normal floor. However, sometimes there is a bug where the robot does not recognize that the carpet has been removed. The cause of this bug is still unknown, and our development team is investigating and optimizing it. Currently, the solution to this bug is to recreate the map.

I have recorded video and still pictures uploaded showing the X40 does NOT recognize the carpet and mops the carpet making a mess. How do I share these and where are they stored in the app.

We recommend that you add carpets manually to the map.

When the carpet is deleted from the map the new X40 does NOT re-recognize the same carpet when cleaning and mops over it, no vacuum. This is a repeatable consistent problem. Please advise.

I think clarity needs to be added in point form for the X40 ultra and issues:
1)  Mapping recognizes carpets on the floor and are added to the map
2)  The mopping and vacuuming works correctlly
3)  When the carpets are removed for mopping the floor under the carpets, the X40 noes NOT recognize that these are removed
4)  The X40 treats the area as STILL having a carpet and responds for only vacuuming the area and does not recognize the carpets as missing
5)  Map is edited for the deletion of the carpets and the X40 cleans with normal mopping
6)  Removed carpets are replaced back in the same position and the X40 mops the area including the carpet with no recognition of the carpets now in place
7)  X40 fails CONSISTENTLY,  to recognize the same carpet and same position where the original mapping was done and it DID recognize these carpets
8)  After repeated tries the X40 failed to recognize the original carpets and their positions that were identified during the original mapping

Requests ASAP
- fix the identification problem and its actions due to the removal of originally mapped carpets and treating these areas as still having carpets
- fix the problem of not identifying replaced carpets or new carpets and correctly vacuum/mop these
