Dirt becomes carpet

Our X50 has trouble to see the difference between a carpet and dirt.

When its on the daily cleaning routine it sees dirt around the doormat and assumes its a carpet. It gets added to the map as carpet line (as an eight meter carpet "bridge" between the doormat and one of the carpets in the livingroom) , so it doesnt mop it.
When cleaning the room the next time it still does not clean it, but after driving around the dirt and mopping the surrounding area it removes the "carpet".  Only to add it the next time/day again. And so the cycle continues.
To put an end to it I cleaned the floor. But the issue remains as soon as there is some dirt on the floor in that area.

The weird thing is that when I make a dirt trail somewhere else (even between carpets) it just cleans it as it should.


Is there a way to tell the app to never add a carpet to a region?
