Dreame X50 Ultra Complete - Making strange sounds when docked

Hi,
Just installed my brand-new Dreame X50 Ultra Complete 2 daysago (in Norway). And from the start it makes a constant white noise when docked(see attached video). It seems to be coming from the right-side wheel area. At first,I thought it was the mop drying sequence or something, but the sound originatesfrom the actual robot and not the dock. The robot seems to be situatedcorrectly in the dock, but if I lightly wiggle the robot a bit the sound gets eitherlouder or quieter. Guess I’m kind of confused. The sound is quite loud andannoying. Any idea what the issue might be?

Other than this, the robot cleans well and easily crosses thresholdswhich was the main reason for buying the X50 Ultra😊

Hello, have you enabled the "Automatic Mop Drying" function in "Base Station Settings"? This sounds like the base station is normally drying the mop.

Hi, yes the automatic mop drying is disabled. If I lift the robot out of the dock, the sound continues. I’m a 100% sure that the sound comes from the robot and not the dock.
I have uploaded two more videos. Here you can hear the same sound while the robot is docking and after it’s docked while lightly touching the robot, the sound reduces. But there is something that is something inside the robot which is turned on / making the sound while docked.

Hello,

Thank you for your message.

Based on the video, the sound you mentioned is likely caused by the robot's wheels rubbing against the anti-slip strips on the base extension during docking. This is a normal phenomenon.

The anti-slip design helps the robot dock and empty more securely, and it does not affect the device's performance. Please rest assured.

Hi, but should the sound continue after it's docked?

If the sound continues after successful connection, there may be an issue. We recommend that you contact our after-sales department for further assistance.
