[L40s Pro Ultra] Rug recognition issue

I have observed this robot for the past 2 days and the more I look at it the more I think it's a faulty unit. It keeps thinking to be on a rug even when it's off the rug and no risk of confusion as the rug is white and the floor is brown. In the app it shows there are rugs where there are none and the actual one are considered a lot bigger than they actually are. Any suggestions @Dreame Support ?

Hello,

If you previously added a rug manually and later deleted it, the robot may not automatically recognise that the rug has been removed. As a result, it might still identify the original location as a rug area. This could explain why the robot continues to detect a rug in places where there is none. We recommend creating a new map to resolve this issue.

To do so, tap the map icon in the app, enable the multi-floor map option, and then tap the “+ Create Map” button at the bottom to generate a new map.

As for the rug areas appearing larger than their actual size on the map, this is designed to make the rug editing feature easier to use and to enhance the visual appeal of the map. The system may include surrounding areas to improve the overall look, which can result in the displayed rug area appearing slightly larger than the physical rug.

@Dreame Support the issue is that the larger area is then never mopped!

I will give it a go with a new map in full daylight and hope for the best.

I will also restart the robot as the obstacle avoidance seems pretty poor and it keeps hitting walls and furniture
