[L40s Pro Ultra] Won't return to base without filter

Hi, my vacuum won’t return to the base without the dustbin filter installed. Is this how it’s supposed to work, considering that a washed filter needs 24 hours to dry? How should the vacuum be returned to the base in the meantime?

I guess it doesn't as there is something missing.....maybe get a spare filter for the next time around?

You’d like to think it would still return to the dock only to charge, and that any cleaning cycle would be prevented by the fact that the filter is missing.

Thank you for your inquiry.

The L40s Pro Ultra cannot operate normally without the dustbin filter installed, including automatically returning to the charging dock. This is to ensure that the device has a complete filtration system during operation and to prevent dust from entering the internal components and causing damage.

Since the filter needs to be completely dry before it can be reinstalled after cleaning, the device will continue to display a missing filter alert during this period and therefore cannot automatically return to the base station. This situation is normal.

While the filter is drying, you have two options:

1. Use a spare dry filter: If you have an extra filter, you can temporarily install it while the cleaned one is drying, and the device will resume normal operation.

2. Manually return the robot to the base station: If there is no spare filter, the robot cannot return to the base station automatically, and you will need to move it back to the charging dock manually.
