New carpet issues

L40 ultra is suffering on new carpets.  Fills up its bucket in no time and then obviously stops any effective cleaning.  However, cleaner does not stop to say it needs emptying so just carries on, failing.   

Suggestions?  I’m new to this so is there something in settings I am missing?

Have you got auto empty set on high?
