Alexa not working

Alexa skill does not work. Dreame app is up to date. The Alexa skill wants a log in for MI Home which I do not have. What is happening?

Hey, Dreame Support mention a few common causes for Alexa issues.

Quick questions first. What model is it, what firmware are you on, and what app are you using (Dreamehome/Dreame/Mi Home) plus the app version? Also what exact message do you get in Alexa?

Things to try, in the same order support usually suggests:
1.        In Alexa, disable the Dreamehome skill, then enable it again and sign back in.
2.        In the Dreame app, double check your Region/Server setting. If the region is wrong, Alexa linking often fails.
3.        Make sure the robot is online in the Dreame app first. Stable Wi-Fi near the dock helps a lot.
4.        After re-linking, run “Discover devices” again in Alexa.

If none of that works, it may be a temporary skill issue. Dreame sometimes posts an Admin update when that happens, so it’s worth checking the forum announcements too. If you want it resolved quickly, contact Dreame after-sales/support with a screenshot of the Alexa error plus your model, firmware, and app version. They can check the logs on their side.

I personally would avoid Alexa voice commands for now, it's easier to use without it.

Same with me. I have routines and control my Dreame via Alexa without problems until the Skill Disappeared. It was working very well for me, you just need to create routines to translate the long text required by Dreame skill into simple sentences like "clean the kitchen". Anyways, I hope this is a temporary glitch. Starting the Robot via voice command was a great feature.
