Over the last few month i am getting constant mop pad fail installs when the machine vacuums first and mops after.  I have tried everything. Chagning pads cleaning moving adjusting. Nothing is working. Any one have any suggestions.  Dreame x40 Ultra

try removing the mop pad holders and cleaning the magnets and the contact points on both the holders and the robot because dust or fine debris can stop it detecting them properly. also check the pads themselves arent slightly warped or too thick if theyre aftermarket. make sure the holders click in firmly and sit flat. it can also help to wipe the small sensors around the mop mounting area and run a quick dock self clean in case something is blocking the mechanism when it tries to attach the pads.

Yes definitely give it a thorough clean. Take pays off and clean the holders.  And magnets.

Hello,

have you tried cleaning the connection area between the mop pad bracket and the robot? If cleaning doesn’t resolve the issue, you can also try restarting the device.

In addition, please check whether the mop pad bracket still has magnetic strength.
