[L40s Pro Ultra] Number of issues with brand new robot

I bought L40s pro ultra a month ago. Since day one there are problems with it, and i am very disappointed.

1. Robot unable to dock by itself most of the times. It tries to enter the dock station but fails to, until it gives up eventually. Then i have to do myself.
2. Robot unable to get out of the dock station, saying something wrong with mop pads: "Mop Pads off. Please install them to resume cleaning". The pods seems in place and nothing wrong with them. Only after I take the robot out by myself, unplug the map pods and install them again, only then the robot starts cleaning.
3. The robot leaves noticable dirt even after double cleaning the kitchen.

Attached some video recordings.

Very disappointing experience so far.

check that the dock has plenty of clear space around it and wipe the robot sensors and dock ramp because dirt can make docking fail. for the mop pad error try removing both pads, check they are aligned properly and reinstall them, then restart the robot so it detects them again. for the kitchen dirt try higher suction and two cleaning passes. if it still cannot dock or keeps showing mop pad errors after that it might be a faulty unit so contacting support for a replacement is probably the best option

The dock has plenty of space around it. The robot enter the dock up to the point where it tries to plug into the vaccum slots and could not. Its like it missed by milimeters the spot. It tries again several time but did not align itself properly.I already done uninstall and install the mop pads several times, and the the problem keep happening.I had a Roborock s6 robot for years and never faced these issues. Having these issues for far more expensive and advanced robot is disappointing.

robot docks are designed to sit against a flat wall so the robot can use its sensors to align itself when reversing into the charging contacts. if the wall behind the dock is curved, the robot can misjudge its angle slightly and miss the contacts by a few millimeters, which matches what you’re describing. i’d try moving the dock to a spot against a straight wall with some open space around it and see if the docking improves.

Yes believe you need a flat wall.
