X50 ultra need to manual set climb/pro-leap of thresholds

The x50 ultra complete works great overall but one urgent and very important setting is needed.

We need to be able to force set the robot to always use the pro-leap/climbing over certain obstacles and thresholds.
Here is the problem, my robot detects all thresholds and I even added few of them manually on the app. But.. When the robot reach the threshold, it does the following and in this order:
1) slightly hit the threshold, slowly try to pass it. Wheels are spinning against the floor and the threshold for a while.
2) Back up, run into full speed and tries to force its way over the threshold. This is seriously damaging my floors, threshold and the robot bounces very hard into the floor as well, can't be good in the long run. Sometimes it makes it way over the thresholds, at least some, but with a lot of noise and potential damage each time.
3) If step 2 didn't work, the climbing/pro-leap starts which is ALWAYS VERY SMOOTH AND SOFT FOR FLOORS, THRESHOLDS AND ROBOT ITSELF.

Come on, the robot is obviously not smart enough to remember or decide which method to use for each threshold, which is fine. Then let us manually force method to use for each threshold where we want.

With all the marketing for this function, I don't understand why we can't use the pro-leap whenever we want. Let us decide this ourselves per threshold or obstacle.
It's a shame with this great feature in place but it is only being used whenever the robot itself decides to and almost always as the last option...

Hello,

Thank you so much for sharing your detailed and candid experience using the X50 Ultra Complete, and your professional feedback on the Pro-Leap obstacle crossing function. We have carefully read your suggestions and fully understand your thoughts.

First, regarding the core issue you mentioned: When facing thresholds or height differences, the robot currently prioritizes attempting conventional methods, only activating Pro-Leap after multiple failures. However, in your experience, Pro-Leap is actually the smoothest, quietest, and most floor-friendly method for both the robot and the floor. You are concerned that the current logic might cause unnecessary stress on the floor, thresholds, and even the robot itself over long-term use.

Then, your suggestion to "support manually forcing the use of Pro-Leap for specific thresholds or obstacles" is a very valuable and practical direction for product improvement. You pointed out the limitations of the current automatic judgment mechanism and proposed giving users more control, which is crucial for improving the user experience and protecting the home environment.

Regarding your suggestion to manually specify obstacle crossing methods by threshold or area, we have recorded it and will submit it to the product and R&D teams for evaluation as a key optimization suggestion.

We will continue to optimize obstacle recognition and decision-making logic to reduce unnecessary collisions and repeated attempts, allowing the excellent Pro-Leap feature to be used earlier and more appropriately in more suitable scenarios.

We are truly grateful for genuine user feedback like yours, which helps the product continuously evolve.
Dreame support response in short — good idea. Let us pass it to the tech team to review ☺️
