L50s Pro Ultra: can it detach mop pads for vacuum-only carpet cleaning?

I’ve recently got a Dreame L50s Pro Ultra and I’m trying to work out whether it can automatically detach/remove the mop pads when doing a vacuum-only clean.

I previously used a Dreame L40 and I’m fairly sure there was a setting buried somewhere that allowed it to leave the mop pads in the dock for vacuum-only tasks. On the L50s Pro Ultra, I can only find:

Settings → Carpet Cleaning Settings → Vacuum → Mop Lift

So it looks like the robot will lift the mop pads on carpet, but I can’t find an option for automatic mop pad detachment/removal.

This matters because I have some thicker pile carpet upstairs, and I’d rather the robot vacuum without the mop pads attached at all, rather than just lifting them.

Has anyone with the L50s Pro Ultra managed to enable automatic mop pad detachment for vacuum-only cleaning? Or is this feature only available on models like the L40/L50 Ultra/X50?

The L50s Pro Ultra only supports the Mop Lift function and does not support automatic mop pad removal. Therefore, there is no related setting available in the app.

The Mop Lift feature you found is the carpet-cleaning option available for this model. When the robot detects carpet, it will automatically raise the mop pads, but it cannot leave the mop pads at the base station and perform a vacuum-only cleaning task.

In contrast, some models, including the L40s Pro Ultra, L40 Ultra, and X50 Ultra Complete, support automatic mop pad removal.
