[Matrix10 Ultra] Another day, another test.

So I’ve had the dreame matrix 10 a few days now and I think I’ve finally got around its quirks. Having tried both the ai obstacle avoidance on and off I have settled for it to be on with me having pets (dog and 2 cats) you can expect a mix of how it cleans the first few times as it records obstacles in its path that it thinks it should avoid, which is a good thing even if it then misses some of the cleaning. Once cleaning is complete you can then view the map to see what obstacles it spotted and avoid. You can then select the obstacles from the map and tell the robot if it’s actually safe to tidy that area.
This probably took a couple of goes before it found everything, while I updated the maps. For best results each time I recommend you simply move all the clutter up fist before it cleans to get the best results, put pet toys away, kids toys and the usual house hold bits away. Don’t get me wrong you don’t have to do this but it will make life easier and you will get the best results.
We now have a cleaning schedule to our house setup. 8am it come out of its dock and just sweeps the whole house with standard suction, then it get to the front door porch the vacuum boosts to max and goes over that small area 3 times just to get the bits of rubbish of your footwear cleaned up.
At 8pm we have it set to do the same again to get rid of the daily mess.
At 1am it comes out of its dock to do a deep mop of the house only, this is very quiet, and the floors get scrubbed up nicely, I’ve set to floor moping to level 10, it’s a low number in the settings but I want the mop to clean without over saturating the floor or causing tiny puddles. I also have the do. It disturb function set at night so the robot remains verbally more quiet and if I had the robot also vac during the do not disturb time it will not self empty the vacuum bag until that time is over, as that can be a bit loud for a few seconds.
People seem to think that when it’s mopping that it leaves a gap between the mops pads. This is actually true but only due to the fact that it cleans the perimeter of the room first, kicking out its side mop. Once that is done it moves the mop closer together and goes back and forth not leaving and mop gaps. In the settings you can also decide how tight to robot turns to make the cleaning better.
At night I have the mop set to deep clean. It basically means the robot travels slower so it can scrub more over its path.
My wife was very dubious about my (man’s toy) however now she has seen the results for the last few days, she’s now more than convinced in its cleaning capabilities. She loves waking up and coming downstairs to sparkling clean floors.
So one you get into a routine with your new cleaner and dial in the settings that are right for your needs. I do highly recommend this product. This is not a paid review, I bought the product. Any questions about the matrix 10, pease ask I will respond to your questions.
