Matrix 10 ultra unnecessary mop cleans

Hi,

I have a multi room map in my setup in which for specific rooms different mop pads are switched for mopping.
I have inspected in specific scenarios unenecessary cleaning of mop pads.

For example the robot switches mop and starts cleaning it, then when out of base determines that another mop pad is required and enters back and switches cleans the correct mop pad again.

This leads to unecessary water and detergent use.
Please inspect and push an update to fix that.

I’d try updating the firmware first and then deleting/recreating the multi-room cleaning schedule. Also double-check that the correct mop pad is assigned to each room. If it still does it, try running the same rooms manually to see if it only happens with the scheduled clean. A short video of it choosing the wrong mop and then going back to change it would probably be useful when reporting it to Dreame support.

Greetings,

Thank you for your feedback and for taking the time to share your observations.

Based on the current software logic, the mop cleaning frequency may sometimes appear higher than expected. The robot performs mop washing under several conditions:

1. The mop pads are washed once before starting a cleaning task.
2. The mop pads are washed when moving between different cleaning areas.
3. When switching between areas assigned to different mop pads, the robot needs to clean the previously used mop pad and then clean the newly installed mop pad, which may result in two washing cycles.
4. The robot will also return to wash the mop pads automatically when the configured mop-washing area threshold is reached.
5. If Floor Care mode is enabled, the robot will first perform normal mopping and then carry out the floor care process, which can lead to additional mop washing cycles for the same area.

Because of the combination of these behaviors, it may appear that the robot is washing the mop pads more often than necessary. Nevertheless, we appreciate your feedback regarding the specific scenario you described, and we will record and forward it to the relevant team for evaluation and potential future optimization.

Thank you again for helping us improve our products.
